Model Answer 1:
I like to travel and meet new people. As a result, the number of my acquaintance is on the rise. Recently I met Mr Joseph Robertson in Singapore.

Mr Joseph Robertson, the tall guy, is a shopkeeper by profession. He owns a small shop in the centre of the city in Singapore. He is middle-aged and proudly owns a gymnast-like body. His eyes are dark blue and he has been living in Singapore since his birth. His family shifted there about one century ago. He is great in nature and loves to gossip. I discovered that he owns the capacity to make people comfortable with him. I was amazed by this capacity. Besides, when he talks, he is never rude even if he gets angry. I have never seen such a cool-headed man in my life before. When his customers try to bargain with the prices, he gently tells them about the product qualities and tells them that the prices are not negotiable.

I met him suddenly when I needed a change of money to pay for the taxi fare. The taxi driver had no "change" with him and it was a troublesome situation for me. I asked for the change to some shopkeepers but nobody came into my support except Mr Robert. He cordially changed the money and helped me pay the taxi fare. It was the introduction between us. Later, I went to his shop several times and had chats with him for hours. He mostly sold some items made of stone and metal. His shop was filled with lots of such items and all of those were attractive. There were small statues made of metal, hair clips, metal bracelets, metal bangles, stone-made showpieces, Buddha statue made of metal and many other tourist knickknacks. As the sitting arrangement in his store was not too much comfortable, at times we sat outside of the store and talked till he closed his small shop.

I went to Singapore last month to have some business deals with a local trader there. But unfortunately, the trader went to India to have some other business and apologised to me for such an unusual event. He also advised that I should stay in a local hotel and he should bear the expense as he made a mistake here. But I refused his proposal and stayed there on my own costs. During the stay, I went to shopping and travelled to different parts of the city. Suddenly one day, I was troubled by the change and Mr Robertson came to my help. His shop was adjacent to my hotel where I stayed in. I had some deep conversations with the man, and I came to know about many issues of him. I also shared my own experiences and events of my life. Gradually a sense of friendship developed between us. I added him to my social network and invited him to visit my country.

Initially, I thought that he might be pretending to be good and grab me as one of his customers. But when I met with him and passed moments, I found that he is a gentleman. He is a very good man with an amicable behave. He never becomes rude to the others even if he receives some misbehaves from the other people. The most attractive part of him is the speeches he delivers. He is a man of intelligence and smartly deals with the situations. I like him as he is honest and hardworking. Interestingly, Mr Robert did not marry and owns a different point of view about marriage. He believes that he is not to be married for his outgoing nature. He is unable to fall in love with a woman who will try to own him only for her. As he did not find such a lady who will not be conservative, he did not marry. He believed that he might not get someone liberal and thus he would not marry. I also liked him for his such extraordinary thoughts.

Model Answer 2:
I have recently met Mr Jeff Parkinson, one of my relatives whom I have not seen since my birth. He was living in Australia and now has returned to his native land in Huston. It was a nice meeting with him. Thank you for the question, and I am happy to get this in my share.

Mr Parkinson is a maternal uncle of mine. He left the country in search of his luck in Australia and passed about 20 years there. In this time, he had less communication with his family. And so, I did not have the chance to meet him in person. I only heard about him to my mom and other relatives. So, the meeting was exceptional.

He came to visit us suddenly. I opened the door and asked about the purpose of the visit to our home. Then he simply asked me to inform my parents and suddenly I realised that it was uncle Parkinson. So, I hurriedly informed my mom. Dad was out of home at that time. My assumption was correct and my mom introduced me to him. It was the formal introduction between us. Later, the relationship between us deepened. We did many activities together. I took him to visit many of the places that he visited earlier. And he was amazed at the changes.

The meeting took place in my home. He came to visit us immediately after returning from Australia. He is single and I came to know about some past histories from my mom. It was really pathetic. He was in love with a lady here in Huston and was unable to marry her off for his poor financial condition. So, seeing the lady getting married off, he left the country. Still, he remembers the lady and thus decided to remain single. When he came to visit us, he described all the events in brief sitting at my home. The first meeting with this uncle did not last for a long time. In fact, he was in a rush and needed to meet with many other people. So, he took an early leave and we met later.

I could not like his failed love to the lady for some grounds. The lady did not marry him as he was not a wealthy person in monetary terms. But he had a very nice and kind heart. Hence, the lady left him for happiness and got married to another individual. I disliked the passion of my uncle towards the lady. He knows everything about the lady but does not want to interfere with her private life. The most irritating issue about him is that he did not marry considering the backgrounds of his life. Otherwise, he is fine and an adorable person.

Idea Generation for this Cue Card topic:

1.  Mr. Hanson is really a nice person. I met him recently at the book fair here in France. In fact, I went to visit the fair and lost my purse. He was the person who brought me back the purse and I found everything was safe inside. It was the beginning of our friendship. And I like him most for his honesty. If there were someone else, my chances to get back the purse was less. I had some important documents and credit card along with a good amount of cash in the purse. I was surprised by his honesty and the way he traced me to return the lost purse.

2.  Robin is my next-door neighbour and I met him in the elevator last week. His dad rented a floor in the building we live in Munich. While returning to home from my college, I met him there and had little talks on that day. I could not like him as he talks too much. Initially, he was a silent listener and gradually, I discovered that Robin is a talkative person. But one thing should be admitted that neither of his speeches was harmful nor they meant any damage to his listeners. But I was unable to listen to all the intellectual thoughts.

3.  My meeting with Mr. Hun was a surprising issue. We became Facebook friends due to some common interests and friends and found that he lives in the same area where I live in Vietnam. One evening, he invited me to meet in person and I agreed. Both of us loved books, particularly poetry. After meeting him, I was impressed. He was a perfect gentleman and did not show any unwanted attitudes that day. Though he knows a lot but never exposes his knowledge unless this is necessary. This is the adorable quality that I found in him.

4.  Riding in public transports often help us meet strangers here in New Delhi. In fact, riding on the bus for the same route and for several years make some friends and Niren was one of such friends of mine. I knew his face but was not familiar enough to talk to him. So, the day when both of us failed the bus, we jointly rented an auto to reach office. We talked about lots of issues that day. I loved the way he represents his logic and in most of the cases, they are unbreakable. He is also able to analyze too critically that wondered me.

5.  Starting a new class in a new college is fun but luckily I got my best friend on that day here in Japan. I met with Sumio in the class and she was highly cordial to me as I was a foreign student there. She lives with her parents in the city and has a very big plan in future to implement. I liked her for her outstanding dreams. I do not know if the dreams would come true or not, I supported her dreams. She dreamt of being someone special in the world that could bring a massive change. I was her partner in the dream projects.
