Model Answer 1:
In my school days, I was fond of the science courses and took pride in that with my cousins as I knew more than them on space-issue. Space Science was the favourite subject of mine in school and now still I am attracted to the subject.

Space always attracted me and I loved watching the moon. My grandfather had a telescope and I used to observe the sky with that. When I got promoted to the eighth grade, I got attached to the space science, one of my science courses. The course was filled with the descriptions of the stars, planets, galaxies and more other issues. I read the book more attentively than my other courses and experimented with the telescope which I inherited from grandpa. Gradually I developed a sense of interest in the subject and now having my post graduation over the same course. Gradually I came to know about different wonderful facts about space.

Mr Andrew Robert was assigned as the teacher of the Space Science. He was one of my preferred teachers in the school days and still I share a bond with him. He used to teach us the subject with care and each of the students at the class listened attentively to his lectures. Unfortunately, he was allowed to take the class thrice in a week. So, each of the students, fascinated with space issues, eagerly waited for the class and I was one of them. He taught us different matters about the space and also made us skilled in figuring out the stars and planets. Mr Robert was the man who made the tougher issues simpler with his deep knowledge about space. Once he invited a couple of students at his home and I also attended the invitation. To my surprise, I saw that his reading room is filled with books and almost two-third of the books belong to the space-related issue.

I learnt a lot from the course. The subject had several books - one of them was used as the main textbook while the two other associated books were prescribed for earning further knowledge on space. The notable things I learnt from the subject are – I can figure out the stars with their names, I can determine directions at night times without any compass, I know a good number of information about the solar system and the surrounding planets of the Earth. Being informed about the information of the surrounding planets and the internal conditions, I was greatly surprised. Besides, before attending the class, I was unaware of the names of the stars, their positions, how they changed with the passage of time, how they are linked with mythological characters etc. and when I completed the course, I was amazed about them. The entire universe and the other galaxies like us, potentials of life etc. made me excited.

Initially, I could not apply the knowledge in my real life until I went on an adventure on the sea. In fact, the adventure was not that much planned and happened all of a sudden. A couple of my friend planned to have a trip to the beach and then suddenly we experienced a low storm which took us to a nearby island. Since this was not a planned sea voyage, we did not have the right tools with us to survive on the sea. We lost the directions of the mainland. I applied my knowledge of stars to determine the direction to the mainland and finally reached there after lots of struggle. If I did not have the knowledge of figuring direction with stars, something worse might have happened.

Sample Answer 2:
In my high school part, I had to study some subjects of science and biology was one of them. I loved the subject for some interesting reasons. In fact, it was the subject that I paid more attention than any other subjects in my school days. Here is a brief description of the subject.

Biology mostly deals with the biological issues of the beings including humans, animals and plants. So, it was my preferred subject than the other science courses in school. I loved the practical part of the subject. Often I had to cut through different little creatures like frogs, cockroaches, mice etc. to create a diagram of the inner portion of the animals.

Mr Augustine was our teacher for this subject in the high school. He was a gentle man and scholar. He knew how to teach the subject. Actually, the school assigned another young teacher for the subject, but the teacher was too young to teach. Based on the complaints from the students, the authority changed the teacher and Mr Augustine replaced the former one. To be honest about the matter, I have not seen a devoted teacher like him. All of the students were like his own children. He loved them and never made rude remarks even if they failed to bring home works or forget to bring other assignments.

I did not have any idea about the inner parts of living beings. The subject helped me a lot to gather knowledge about the biological issues. After having the practical classes, I came to know about that how the inside of a living being looks like. I also knew the names of the organs and what their functions were to keep humans and other living beings alive. Moreover, I became expert in peeling the skins of the dead animals. In fact, I was afraid of blood and injuries. The fear disappeared after participating the practical class. Further, I learned some other precious knowledge from this subject.

Biology has helped in my real-life situations. Now I know how everything inside a body works. I know what may happen if they are damaged or diagnosed with any disorder. As a result, I am not afraid of diseases or injuries. Besides, biology also helped me to clear the misconceptions about the human body. I did not have the knowledge that the inside of a body could be so complicated and gradually I became aware of the immunology and the internal organs. It was easier for me to understand the reasons for falling ill and how to recover from the illness. Moreover, Biology also helped me to pick the right form of sport for me.
