Model Answer 1:
This is a great topic to discuss. I have recently received a special gift and it was a Kashmiri shawl. The shawl was brought for me from India.

This is a local shawl produced in the region of Kashmir which has a border both in India and Pakistan. Actually, a shawl is a kind of chador which is used to cover up the body in winters. The Kashmiri shawl is very useful during winter as it provides a mild heat that is required to protect people from the cold. I am glad that the shawl is comfortable and comes with a unique and attractive design. The length of the shawl is moderate and it is easy to use. I like its design – coloured in white a bluish shed which makes it look uncommon. I am very happy that this was given to me as a gift. This is one of the best gifts for me.

My maternal uncle, Xzhao Xing went to India last month for some of his business purposes and he brought the shawl from there. In fact, the Kashmiri shawls are not available in Thailand. Some of the clothing stores sell them on a limited scale but with a higher price. Since the sellers are to import the shawl from India, the prices become higher. As a result, everyone cannot afford them. Once I asked for such a shawl to uncle as he visits different countries for his business and if India is in his trip plan. But it was really a wonder to me when he gave me the shawl on. In fact, he loves me much and brought the shawl for me as promised. Now I use it for different purposes and do not need any other warm clothes when I am out at night.

I got the shawl on last Monday. We had a family gathering at our home where my parents invited almost all the relatives living near us. My mum prepared a dinner and everyone attended at the pre-scheduled time. My uncle was a bit late. He attended in the last moment. When I opened the door for him, he just wrapped me in the shawl. I was surprised by such behaviour as he never did before. But suddenly I realised that I am wrapped by the shawl that I dreamt for. He made the dream come true. I hugged him tightly. Everyone in the room praised the shawl for its colour and uniqueness. They have also never seen such an eye-catchy shawl before.

Definitely, I like the shawl. Being a student, I am unable to pay the price to have this shawl for me. Even I was unable to save baths to buy this shawl. So, I was highly happy having the shawl. The colour, the design, the length and width everything was perfect for me. I thanked uncle for such a wonderful gift for me. But he warned me to sue the shawl in the right manner. He also said that the shawl should be cleaned carefully and if it gets damaged, the beauty will get shattered. So, I am careful about it.

Model Answer 2:
Thank you for this wonderful candidate task card topic. Last winter, a friend of mine gave me a double-breasted jacket. I liked the jacket so much not only for its style but for the colour it has. It was dark blue and also had some shades in it. Moreover, the appearance was outstanding as well. I was highly impressed with the fabric quality and its brand value was adorable too. The jacket came with a special cover that protects it from dust.

William is one of my closest buddies and recently went to Germany. He bought the jacket for me. In fact, he presented it to me marking my 21st birthday. He missed the event and pledged me to bring something special for me. He kept his promises and I was surprised after receiving the coat. It was perfect for me in size and shape. Moreover, I liked the colour and style of the jacket. Considering everything, it was a nice one for me.

I got the jacket in the early morning on the first day of December last. This is one of the coolest months of the year. So, it was the right present for me. I was surprised at the warmness of the coat. In fact, I passed the entire season last year wearing this. And it was comfortable for me too. I did not have an idea that William would come to visit me with the jacket in the first hour of the day.

Of course, I liked the jacket. So far, it was the best one I have ever been presented by a friend. I use it for my ordinary purposes and really appreciated his attempt. I am in love with the jacket for several reasons and became too grateful to my friend for this priceless gift to me.

2. My dad bought me a nice jeans pant from a branded shop here in Delhi last week. In fact, he picked the right thing for me. I loved the style and colour of the pant.

3. The V-neck sweater is my favourite clothing. In fact, my mom gave it last month to protect myself when I would be out of the home in winter. The sweater is comfortable to wear and warm too.

4. I have got an overcoat for women for my last birthday. My boyfriend presented me with the coat. It looks nice with a beautiful checkered style. I was amazed at the weight of the coat – it is too light than I expected.

5. I received a top and a formal pant from my husband. He brought the dresses for me to wear during my office hours. Both the top and the pant fitted me well. I was happy with the clothing and thanked him greatly.

6. Astonishing events are happening with me. A friend of mine brought a T-shirt and a jeans pant for me and there was no apparent reason for that. Later, I came to know that he wanted to surprise me with advanced birthday gifts. I was excited too.
