Model Answer 1:
I like to help suffering people whenever I can with whatever little abilities I have. In fact, I am planning to open up a “support centre” for poor and elderly people, in the future. But, that discussion should better be left for the future, as today, I would like to talk about something which I am currently doing to help others.
I am collecting clothes every winter to help poor and elderly people who just don’t have the means or financial abilities to get warm clothes during the winter time. This idea of helping other people wear warm clothes during the winter hit me about 7/8 years ago when I still was a university student. And it was winter time too with a bone-chilling cold. In fact, I think that it was one of the coldest years in the winter history of my country.
So, anyway, as it was really cold, I decided to take out my warmest and heaviest jacket to shield myself from it except, of course, I found that the jacket had some rusty and dark spots because of laying in the wardrobe for a long time, unused. Initially, I wanted to wash that jacket to get rid of those dark spots, but some people told me that the fabric of my jacket would most likely get damaged if I tried too hard to clean it off. They advised me to give that jacket to some people poor people, instead, and that’s how I got this idea. Since then, I have been collecting warm clothing from every corner of my city and handing them over to the poor and needy people.
I have understood how difficult it can get for poor and old people to survive in a very cold winter, so I think that what I am currently doing is helping them immensely. In this way, I am not only supporting the poor and helpless people to have a piece of warm clothing but also helping to avoid a lot of wastage of clothing which would otherwise get thrown in the garbage bins.
Model Answer 2:
I often offer technology-related support to people like troubleshooting a computer or fixing a router, and some people have opined that it has greatly helped them. Actually, I am a tech enthusiast and like to help others whenever possible. For this topic, I would like to tell you how my support to fix people's computers and other electronic devices render great help to them.
I have been a passionate computer user since my early school days, perhaps when I was just 6 or 7 years old. Due to my experiments and interest in electronic devices and computers, I have found that I could repair them and solve almost any operating system-related issue. Since then I have helped others to fix such problems and I still help others this way. A couple of months ago, I fixed a minor issue with one of my neighbour's microwave woven and she was very happy with it.
How did I start doing it? Well, I was just 11 years old when I went to visit my maternal uncle's house and found that their computer was dead and needed some expensive servicing or parts replacement. I asked my uncle if I could look at it. He was really surprised to hear that but was even more amazed when I had been able to fix the computer within an hour. All I did was put the RAM into a different slot and then reinstall the operating system, and the computer was up and running. It was a marvellous experience for me and this was the first time when I realised how a little help could save people from lots of frustration and money. I have tried to help others this way ever since.
I believe the thing I do is helpful to others as numerous times I've found that whenever I could fix someone's problem with an important electronic device or computer, it brought smiles to their faces. The way they appreciate me each time I help them is genuine. I can recall that several times I helped some students to fix their computers or laptops when they could not fix them due to money problems or time constraints, and they mentioned how grateful they really were. I am happy to be able to help them when they need it the most.
