I live in a rather large locality that is shared by people from all walks of life, background and professions. While there is no shortage of civic facilities, including paved roads and streets, sidewalks, sewers, water lines and street lighting, in my locality, it didn’t have any public park facility. But, we got that one too recently.
As I've just mentioned, the public park has opened recently, about a couple of months ago, with the help of our local government and Mayor. The park has a beautiful structure and a large area. This park, covered with a huge chunk of green grass all over and many beautiful trees, is nicely organized in different areas for different age groups. For example, on one side of the park, there are small playgrounds for children while on the other side of the park, there are large areas for adults to play different kinds of sports. The park also provides facilities for walking, biking and other activities. For people, who just like to relax and have some snacks, the park also has a few snack corners and picnic spots. However, the best thing about this park, as far as I am concerned, is that it is close to a nice body of water (not a lake) in which, people can have some pure fun by riding on the boats. Finally, this park is also an ideal place for feeling relaxed while looking at the beautiful cherry flowers. After spending some time in this beautiful park, seeing how people were enjoying their time, I realized that it was very important to have this public park.
Anyway, I am really glad to have this park because it would allow the residents in our locality to spend some quality time in the open by becoming close to Mother Nature. Besides, this public facility would also help us mingle with each other and socialize among ourselves without visiting too far from our home or visiting some community centre for some recreational activities. Finally, it would also improve our overall quality of life by ensuring a better natural environment around us.
